Addison Auto first opened in 1982. At that time it was called The Saab Shop, and we specialized in Saab repair and service. Those were the golden years for Saab; no other shops wanted to work on these so-called “cult” cars.
Our collage above shows shop memories between 1991 and 2010, from when we first purchased the building at 2005 S. Holly Street to when we added a new structure that allowed us to expand into paint and collision repair. Little by little, we built our exemplary workforce and expanded from our humble Swedish roots to provide a full spectrum of body and mechanical services for all vehicle makes and models.
In 2019, Tom Wenzel and Dirk Owens took over Addison Auto Repair and Body Shop to allow Jim and Brenda Addison more time to do the things they love: being with their grandkids and spending time in the mountains. Jim Addison remains on part-time to continue to provide his knowledge and leadership. If you’re lucky, you can still catch Jim around the shop, appreciating every opportunity to share a smile and catch up with our many longtime customers.
We are excited and humbled to celebrate our 40th anniversary! We want to thank YOU because you are the reason we are able to celebrate this milestone. Thank you for being a part of the Addison family, and we look forward to many more years ahead.
