We took some time to interview a long time customer who has been with Addison since the very beginning in 1982, back when the shop was known as Swedish Automotive.
While Addison has come a long way and grown a lot since 1982, Tom says he always remembers all the "laughs with Jim from day one." One thing that has never changed is our commitment to providing personal, honest, and caring service.
When we asked Tom what has kept him coming back to Addison for the past almost 40 years, he responded by saying:
"What has kept me coming back is understanding and trust. Whenever I come in it’s clear that people actually listen as opposed to assuming they know the answer. Not only does the staff want to understand me but they are also very good at explaining what needs to happen so that I can keep my car running now and in the future. Addison is focused on the long-term care of their customers and because of that and the understanding they provide, I can trust what Addison recommends.
I will never forget an instance some years ago; my wife knew of a woman that had hit a very rough patch in life that drove up with her granddaughter from Atlanta in a fairly dangerous car. We brought it in to Addison for an honest talk; Jim and his team fixed the car enough to make it safe and running. In the end Jim even covered some of the cost... we will never forget that."
Being able to provide one-of-a-kind service and build relationships based on trust with our diverse group of customers like Tom is one of the reasons we get out of bed in the morning and drives us to be the best we can be. For that, we would like to say thank you, Tom, for your loyalty. Your presence at Addison over the years has been a gift to us all.
